Watkins Glen native, Linda Knapp McIntyre, has been a professional watercolor painter for many years. Her inspiration is the the beautiful, subtle color of the Finger Lakes region. Her paintings are generally small and detailed, as you have seen here, and have gained her many loyal patrons.

The Daigle House is an historic Acadien house on a quiet street in downtown Lafayette. It was built in the 1880's and stands strong with 11'ceilings and original polished cypress floors. From the spacious porch with two bench swings, to the great entry hall with chandeliers, to the comfortable guests rooms with microwave and small refrigerators, dishes, towels, etc. in each, you will feel 'at home' and very welcome.
There are three 17'x17' quest rooms, each with air conditioning, heat, and room darkening mini-blinds or heavy drapery.The Rhythm Room has a queen bed, the Rose Room has a king bed, and the Renoir Room has a queen high airbed and easily-adjustable firmness with the built-in pump.
There are two shared bathrooms; one has a clawfoot tub and hose shower and the other has a modern tub/shower enclosure. The house's washer and dryer are available for free to quests as is the off-street parking in the front of the house.
